My friends and I start every New Year by choosing a word of the year. Something to remind us, to guide us, or even to inspire us as the year goes on. For 2026 my word is grace. My focus this year is to give myself and others more of it. The Devotion Ritual was inspired by this idea. Seeing yourself as you are in this moment, with love. Not improved, not changed, not “better.” Just as you are. And meeting yourself there with love, forgiveness, and grace.

This ritual does involve looking at yourself in the mirror. And if that feels difficult, you don’t have to force it. You can move through the ritual in whatever way feels comfortable.
